MPTS provides a sophisticated set of processes for each of the departments to do year end processing.

Counties utilizing the system have consistently closed their roll on time, even when faced with budget cuts and staff reductions.

Interfacing and integration with many companies allows counties to customize their implementation.

Assessor Integration

Assessor Year End Turnover

MPTS has a robust turnover process. Including edit checking / reports and automated processing.

Agency Roll File Creation

For Assessors, the Annual (601) rolls, both Secured and Unsecured, are available to be created and sent to Agencies at any time during the year. The Tax Collectors may generate files for the Current Secured, Current Unsecured, Delinquent Secured and Delinquent Unsecured rolls. When these files are created, they are a real-time snapshot of that roll to be sent to Agencies, including all payments and current details pertaining to the roll selected.

Assessor – Recorder Integration

Recorded documents and PCORs (Preliminary Change of Ownership Documents) and the corresponding data are imported into MPTS, allowing the transfer staff to validate the information and process the recorded documents quickly, accurately and efficiently.

Building Permit Import

Building permit data are imported into MPTS to assist in the processing of building permit data from multiple agencies.

CAMA Integration

MPTS integrates with CAMA modules.

Clerk of the Board Appeals Process

MPTS has a Clerk of the Board Appeals module that interfaces multiple departments and streamlines the appeal process.

Document Viewing Interface

Documents and images from many other applications may be viewed within the MPTS application either by directly indexing files on disk or by connecting to web-based document imaging applications for parcel-specific images.

GIS Interface

Megabyte integrates with most GIS systems by providing back-end data export to the GIS system and by connecting to web-based GIS interfaces for parcel-specific views.

Kelly Blue Book Interface

Aircraft valued within the Kelly Blue Book application, or other outside applications, may be imported, along with attributes and values, directly into MPTS. This allows multiple individuals to work aircraft accounts then import the records for upload to the final roll.

Record Retention

At any time during the year, the tax roll may be retained to a file folder and archived or burned to a CD. MPTS provides a stand-alone viewer allowing the end user to search a variety of fields utilizing any web browser on any computer.

Sketch Module Interface

MPTS integrates with Sketching products, ensuring that the MPTS system is updated with characteristics captured during the sketch process are uploaded into MPTS.

State Board of Equalization

MPTS provides an import feature to accept the utility roll file generated by SBE and sent to the County.

Megabyte works closely with major CORTAC Agencies to ensure a standard file format and processing flow is in place to assist MPTS counties with CORTAC Request and Payment files. Extensive reporting, error logging, and an intuitive interface make CORTAC processing simple and easy for the County as well as for the CORTAC Agencies.

Credit Card Processing

Megabyte integrates with selected vendors for real-time credit card, IVR and Kiosk payment acceptance for property tax payments.

DMV Interface

DMV integration is available within MPTS, allowing counties to upload automatically adding the DMV hold fee as set by the County.

Megabyte integrates with RT Lawrence for real-time payment updates and collection image archival and retrieval through remittance processing.

Tax Bill Vendors

MPTS provides an interface to provide to Tax Bill vendors, providing all of the necessary files to completely populate tax bills for secured and unsecured annual bills. In addition, a nightly bill file is made available for counties wishing to outsource the printing of supplemental and other large batch bill printing.

Tax Collector Recorder Integration

Lien documents including Certificate of County Tax Liens, Release of County Tax Liens, and Removal of County Tax Liens are created and submitted electronically to Recorder’s systems. Data is also returned back to the Tax Collector’s office so that the tax roll is updated with the recorded document information.
